Do you provide care for people, either personally (an aging parent, ill partner and/or incapacitated friends) or professionally? If so, you’re in the right place. People who care for people play a vital role in our communities, yet the support they provide can come at a high personal cost, leading to frustration, exhaustion and burnout.
I work one-on-one with caregivers and teach workshops designed for caregivers. We explore questions such as:
How can I better understand the needs of those I care for and as well as my own?
Why is it easy to feel compassion for others, yet difficult to feel compassion for myself?
How can I care for myself when I have no time? What can I do to avoid guilt and burnout?
These interactive sessions offer concrete, mindfulness-based methods that can help you move towards deeper care, both for yourself and for others. Participants experiment with awareness techniques, learn which ones resonate and develop their own unique pallette for self care.
